Anwar responded to claims by several religious figures who accused him of kissing Louise Marcos, the wife of Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr, based on a misleading photo taken from another angle.
He clarified that no such act occurred.
“Those responsible for religious matters should have asked me first,” he said. “I did not touch her at all. How can religious figures accuse me of hypocrisy and adultery without knowing the facts?”
