KOTA BHARU: Police arrest a pawnshop manager, her boyfriend, and five employees on suspicion of staging a RM5.7 million jewellery heist at a Pasir Mas pawnshop. The last Tuesday saw a man sprayed disinfectant, threatening customers with a knife, and stealing 10.9kg of jewellery from a safe.

As raids in Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, and Rawang culminates in seven arrests it also saw the recovery of 933 packets of jewellery worth RM5.7 million. Kelantan Police Chief Mohd Yusoff Mamat said the manager and her boyfriend were the masterminds. All suspects are remanded until Thursday under Section 395 of the Penal Code.
