The Shah Alam High Court repeatedly reminded Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s lawyers to stay focused during cross-examination in the RM150 million defamation case filed by Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Judicial commissioner Donald Joseph Franklin cautioned defence counsels Razlan Hadri Zulkifli and Ranjit Singh after multiple objections from Mahathir’s lawyers, Nizam Bashir and Rafique Rashid Ali.

The judge said cross-examination must remain relevant to the defence and not stray into politics or policy. Proceedings ended at 3.30pm, with case management fixed for Nov 12. Mahathir, 100, previously expressed frustration at prolonged questioning in earlier hearings.
