Bersatu faces its biggest internal crisis yet as 16 MPs warned president Muhyiddin Yassin that disciplinary chaos is tearing the party apart. In a letter dated Oct 23, they slammed the sacking of Wan Saiful Wan Jan and suspension of Wan Ahmad Fayhsal as “unwise” and driven by ego.

The MPs said the move sabotaged growing support for Hamzah Zainudin’s budget proposal and distracted from Perikatan Nasional’s Sabah election preparations. They also criticised summoning Hamzah before the disciplinary board as “senseless.” The letter reflects deep fractures within Bersatu’s top ranks and a looming loss of voter confidence.
