Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming has apologised and retracted remarks made during the pre-launch of Bukit Bintang’s I Lite U lighting initiative. Nga said he accepted all feedback regarding his comments and withdrew any statements that may have caused confusion or offence to the media.

Speaking at the Madani Park opening in Ipoh, he emphasised his respect for media freedom and urged focus on national development. “I retract my remarks and apologise so we can concentrate on rebuilding our nation,” he said, reaffirming his commitment to upholding dignity and unity in governance.
