More than 55,000 runners from over 150 countries raced through New York’s five boroughs under clear skies in the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon. Kenya’s Hellen Obiri won the women’s race in a record 2:19:51, followed by compatriot Sharon Lokedi. Benson Kipruto narrowly captured the men’s title in 2:08:09, edging Alexander Mutiso by less than a second.

Swiss Paralympian Marcel Hug earned his seventh wheelchair crown, while American Susannah Scaroni claimed her third. Spectators lined streets from Staten Island to Central Park, cheering in a celebration of endurance, unity, and athletic excellence.
