A community in California is mourning the death of KitKat, a beloved neighborhood cat struck by a Waymo self-driving car. According to Waymo, the cat darted under the vehicle as it was pulling away, leaving no time to react.
KitKat Dies
Despite efforts by bystanders to stop the car and rush KitKat to a nearby vet, he did not survive. Locals have since built a memorial outside Randa’s Market, where KitKat once greeted visitors.
