KUALA LUMPUR – The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) announced that FIFA has dismissed its appeal against sanctions imposed over alleged document-forgery related to seven naturalised players.
Document-Falsification Case
FIFA upheld a CHF 350,000 fine on FAM and CHF 2,000 fines plus 12-month bans on each player, citing breaches of Article 22 of its Disciplinary Code. FAM said it was “shocked” and will request FIFA’s full written decision before lodging an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) within the prescribed time frame.
