New: Police to detain Namewee, last person seen with deceased Taiwanese influencer

Kuala Lumpur police confirmed that local rapper Namewee will be detained soon in connection with the death of Taiwanese influencer Hsieh Yun Hsin, 31. She was found dead in a hotel bathtub at Banyan Tree, Jalan Conlay, on October 22.

Namewee, 42, was the last person seen with the victim before being arrested for drug possession but released after pleading not guilty on October 24. Police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the case was reclassified as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code following new evidence. As of now, Namewee remains at large as authorities are saying he is on the run.
