Perlis has recorded a nearly 70% drop in Control of Supplies Act cases this year, following the implementation of targeted diesel subsidies and intensified enforcement efforts. Only 30 cases were reported as of October 31, compared to 99 in the same period last year.
Perlis Sees drop in Diesel Cases
Perlis Domestic Trade director Rohaida Hassan credited the decline to close monitoring and collaboration with enforcement agencies. She also highlighted the success of the BUDI MADANI RON95 programme, with over 700 inspections and minimal complaints.
The 3P initiative at Kuala Perlis Public Market aims to build a culture of compliance among traders, safeguarding consumer rights.
