Malaysia’s Ministry of Education will introduce the ‘co-teaching’ method in the 2027 school curriculum, pairing two equal-status teachers in one classroom to enhance learning outcomes and character development.
Malaysia Launching Co-Teaching
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the approach encourages creativity, interaction, and personalized attention, helping reduce dropout rates. The reform also includes integrated learning, where subjects like English, Science, and Music are taught together to create more engaging lessons.
Inspired by successful models abroad, the ministry is confident teachers will be ready following quality improvement sessions in 2025 and 2026. The initiative reflects a shift toward holistic, student-centered education.
