The High Court has ordered the Malaysian government and police to pay RM10,000 daily in damages to Pastor Raymond Koh’s family from the date of his abduction in 2017 until his whereabouts are revealed.

High Court Orders Damages

Justice Su Tiang Joo ruled that authorities were liable for negligence, abuse of power, statutory breaches, and violations of fundamental liberties. The court also directed PDRM to reopen investigations, replace implicated officers, and submit reports to the Attorney General’s Chambers every two months.
