Former New Straits Times editor Kalimullah Hassan has criticised former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, describing his current political troubles as “karma.” In a social media post, Kalimullah recounted how Muhyiddin once sought his help in 2008 to apologise to then-premier Abdullah Ahmad Badawi for urging his resignation after Barisan Nasional’s electoral setback.

Political Downfall
Kalimullah claimed he advised Abdullah against meeting Muhyiddin, noting the betrayal had “crushed” the former leader. Drawing parallels to Muhyiddin’s present situation, where Bersatu MPs are rebelling against him, Kalimullah remarked, “What goes around comes around.”
