Pavane for an Infant, a Malaysian-Hong Kong co-production directed by award-winning filmmaker Chong Keat Aun, has been selected by the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) to represent Malaysia at the 98th Academy Awards under the Best International Feature Film category.

Academy Awards

Produced by Janji Pictures Production Sdn Bhd, the film follows a social worker at a baby-hatch centre helping women overcome stigma and hardship in a conservative society. Starring Fish Liew, Natalie Hsu, and Ben Yuen, the film has already won multiple international awards and was screened at major global festivals, showcasing Malaysia’s growing cinematic presence.
