Delegates Clash Over Election Motions at Amanah National Convention

SHAH ALAM, Nov 8 – Parti Amanah Negara’s 2025 National Convention turned tense when several delegates demanded that motions on next year’s internal elections be debated. Vice-president Datuk Mohd Hatta Ramli said 48 motions were submitted, but only four were approved for debate.

He clarified that motions regarding the 2026 elections would not be discussed, as the party constitution already stipulates elections for next year. Despite his explanation, delegates protested, insisting the issue be debated. Hatta maintained that discussions would proceed only when the time is appropriate under party rules.
