DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has urged Penang DAP not to be complacent and to begin preparations for the possibility of the 16th general election (GE16) being held simultaneously with state polls. Speaking at the Penang DAP annual convention, Loke said several state assemblies, including Johor, Melaka and Sarawak, will soon reach the end of their terms.

He said coordinated political strategy was crucial as both federal and state governments are now under the same administration. Loke also reminded members to uphold unity and respect party leadership under Penang DAP chairman Steven Sim to maintain public trust.
