BALING — Tragedy struck Kampung Lubuk Kabu, Kuala Pegang, when a newly married man was found hanging from a neem tree near his home on Sunday morning. Police said the 34-year-old was discovered lifeless at a height of 4.57 metres after climbing the tree earlier that day.

The incident was reported to authorities at about 11.30 a.m. by local residents. Investigations revealed the man had married only two days before his death. His body was sent to the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital Forensic Department in Alor Setar for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
