New: Thailand Halts Cambodia Peace Deal After Border Landmine Blast Injures Soldiers

BANGKOK, Nov 10 — Thailand has suspended its month-old peace agreement with Cambodia after two Thai soldiers were critically injured in a landmine explosion along the Si Sa Ket border. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said all activities under the Kuala Lumpur peace accords — including the release of 18 detained Cambodian soldiers — would be halted until further clarity.

The incident marks the seventh explosion in four months, threatening to unravel the fragile truce signed under Malaysia’s Asean chairmanship. Thailand has also urged Cambodia to act against border cybercrime networks amid rising cross-border tensions. Photo: YouTube
