A driver in Shah Alam was fined after briefly sitting in his car without extending his parking payment, sparking frustration over enforcement practices.
Driver Fined Despite Still in Car
According to World of Buzz, John (a pseudonym) said he was inside the vehicle for less than 20 minutes when an officer issued the ticket, telling him, “Next time, turn on the engine.” He noted another car nearby was spared, raising questions of inconsistency.
Attempts to dispute the fine led him to MBSA’s legal department, which confirmed the notice was valid since no payment was active. While acknowledging the explanation, John felt the process harsh and called for clearer, fairer communication.
