In a small but significant turn, Lim Guan Eng won a partial victory in his longrunning undersea tunnel graft trial. The Sessions Court agreed to strike out several sentences from an investigating officer’s witness statement, ruling that parts of eight paragraphs were irrelevant or prejudicial. It doesn’t end the case, but it gives Lim a tactical reprieve as proceedings continue.
