United Airlines is seeking dismissal of a lawsuit accusing it of misleading passengers by selling “windowless window” seats. The suit, filed in August alongside a similar case against Delta, claims passengers were charged extra for seats marketed as window seats that lacked actual windows.

United’s lawyers argued that “window” merely refers to a seat’s position next to the aircraft wall, not a guaranteed view. Plaintiffs, including Aviva Copaken, said they paid up to $169.99 (RM701) only to face a blank wall. While airlines like American and Ryanair warn customers about missing windows, United and Delta do not, sparking consumer backlash.
