American CEO Robert Isom said “hundreds of thousands” of customers faced delays and cancellations, though recent operations show signs of improvement.
Delta praised its staff and federal workers, noting residual disruptions will continue as crews and planes return to normal schedules. Data showed 816 cancellations on Wednesday, down from 2,600 on Sunday. Both airlines pledged to restore full capacity ahead of the holiday season.
