BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. — Bryan Jennings, 66, was executed Friday at Florida State Prison for the 1979 abduction, rape, and murder of six-year-old Rebecca Kunash. Jennings, a former US Marine, climbed through the child’s window while her parents were in another room, drowning her in a nearby canal. In the death chamber, he declined to give final words.

His last meal included a cheeseburger, fries, and soft drink – though we believe many do not really care about that, right? As the lethal injection began, Jennings’ chest heaved and arms twitched before he became still. The execution, the 16th in Florida this year, was reported to have occurred without complications.
