A man allegedly earning over RM1,000 a day selling ketum tea saw his lucrative operation collapse after police arrested him during Op Hawk in Kampung Peragap, Kerdau. The 30-year-old suspect was detained at 1am with 19 packets of home-brewed ketum tea, which he sold at RM10 each.

In a separate case in Langkawi, a 53-year-old man was found charred in his home following a fire. The victim, who lived alone and had a history of drug use, was discovered on a burnt mattress. The case has been classified as sudden death.
