Party president Ewon Benedick will lead 25 candidates, including himself in Kadamaian, as Upko suddenly discovers its “Sabah First” spirit works better outside the coalition it just left.

Former chief Madius Tangau heads to Tamparuli while others return to old battlegrounds. Ewon says the party will pursue Sabah’s rights under MA63, but voters may still be recovering from the speed of this political breakup.
