KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim dismissed clashes between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in the Sabah state election as a “friendly fight.” Speaking at Sembang Santai, Anwar highlighted contests in Karamunting (PH vs BN), Kemabong, and Moyog (13-cornered including PH and GRS).

DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke echoed this, calling DAP-GRS face-offs in several seats unavoidable due to local factors and failed agreements. Despite efforts to avoid overlaps, multi-cornered battles remain common in Sabah polls. Both leaders expressed confidence that these rivalries won’t damage coalitions, leaving outcomes to voters on Nov 29.
