RTS Link Project Hits 65% Completion as Train Trials Begin

Train Set 02, the first train for the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link, has arrived at the Wadi Hana Depot and begun testing. RTS Operations CEO Dr. Ahmad Marzuki Ariffin said static checks will precede three phases of dynamic testing across Bukit Chagar and Woodlands North stations. 

RTS Link Project Hits 65% Completion 

The six-to-seven-month commissioning process will ensure readiness for driverless operations, including signalling, communication, and passenger capacity trials. RTSO chairman Datuk Khairil Anwar Ahmad confirmed overall project progress at 65%, with strict safety standards maintained. Once operational, the four-kilometre RTS Link will carry up to 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction.
