The Malaysian girl group, Dolla, was recently brought into headlines after the Religious Affairs Minister, Na’im Mokhtar made a statement regarding the tightening of attire regulations towards Muslim female performers. Dolla Defended by Netizens

Social media users asked the Minister with regards to the plethora of other problems happening in the country. They state that policing the outfit choices of a girl group should be the least of his concerns.

Others even asked that the focus should be on divorced women receiving the right alimony, and the controversial GISBH case.

Some even showed photos of our local talents back in the 1970s, where their outfits would’ve been considered as extremely inappropriate today.
