Lawyer Latheefa Koya has criticized Religious Affairs Minister Na’im Mokhtar for publicly rebuking Dolla member Sabronzo (Wan Sabrina Wan Rusli) over her outfit in a music video.

Latheefa argued that the minister has no authority to threaten legal action, as prosecutions must be decided by proper investigative and prosecutorial bodies. She said Na’im’s remarks humiliated the artist and undermined her right to a fair trial.
While Na’im suggested syariah charges and called for stricter dress guidelines for Muslim celebrities, Latheefa condemned the focus on women’s attire as misogynistic and urged the ministry to prioritize real issues like stateless children.
