Elder Teacher’s Abuse Case Underscores Grave Breach of Trust
A Sessions Court in Seremban sentenced a 47-year-old religious teacher to seven years’ jail and two strokes of the cane for sexually assaulting his 13-year-old student. The judge ruled that the defence failed to raise reasonable doubt and called the teacher’s denial empty. Testimony from the victim and two eyewitnesses was found consistent.
Rotan for misbehaving teacher
The court stressed that adults in positions of authority who exploit children commit a severe breach of trust and damage the reputation of educators. The case stands as a stark reminder that age and status never justify misconduct and accountability applies to all.
Teachers rotan kids normally, but now, a teacher will get a rotan too.
