A 44-year-old man, Kenneth Tan Kah Wee, was fined RM100 by the Magistrate’s Court after flipping off another driver in Johor on November 12. The incident occurred at Jalan Pulai 62, Skudai, around 5:22pm, where Tan was accused of behaving in an insulting manner intended to cause public unrest.

Magistrate Nabilah Nizam passed the sentence after he pleaded guilty. Under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955, the maximum penalty is RM100. The court ruled that Tan would serve two days in jail if he fails to pay the fine. He was unrepresented, with prosecution led by Nor Deana Aqilah Aliman.
