373 Passengers Stranded in KL Monorail Malfunction, Safely Evacuated

On November 20, 373 passengers were stranded on a Kuala Lumpur monorail train along the Medan Tuanku route near Maju Junction after a technical malfunction. Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd safely evacuated all passengers, with one 58-year-old woman fainting during the incident and later receiving medical treatment.

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department confirmed receiving an emergency call at 9.39am, while Rapid KL announced that repairs at Medan Tuanku station were completed and services have since resumed. Train operations are now back to normal, though commuters experienced significant delays earlier in the day between Medan Tuanku and Chow Kit stations.
