Malaysia’s top mixed doubles pair advanced to the Australian Open final after a straight-games win that strengthens their season-end momentum.
World mixed doubles champions Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei advanced to the Australian Open final after defeating Thailand’s Pakkapon Teeraratsakul and Sapsiree Taerattanachai 21-16, 21-14 in 49 minutes. The world No. 4 Malaysians dominated their first meeting with the Thai pair, who sit at world No. 65.
Australian Open
This marks their 10th semi-final and third final appearance of the season, following their World Championships triumph in August. They will face either Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat–Ruttanapak Oupthong or Felisha Pasaribu–Jafar Hidayatullah next. A win at the Super 500 event would give them a timely boost before the World Tour Finals.
