An eight-year-old Bajau boy, Budin Jimsalim, was discovered dead inside a Proton Gen-2 abandoned at a Kampung Muslim workshop in Labuan since June 2025. A mechanic noticed a foul odour while preparing to move the car on Friday morning and alerted police at 9.10 am.

Officers found the decomposed body in the vehicle; a medical team confirmed death at 10.26 am. No identification documents were found on the child.
