Vernis Maliin Yeo, 27, never imagined becoming a model after enduring bullying in school over her body shape and skin tone. Of mixed Chinese, Peranakan, Dutch, and Indian heritage, she proved that confidence and passion can overcome prejudice. 

From Bullying to the Fashion Runway

A single mother of a two-year-old, Vernis began modeling part-time before committing fully seven years ago, turning it into her livelihood. Formerly a language tutor, she later joined beauty pageants with encouragement from her aunt, opening doors to the fashion world. 

Today, she is grateful for the opportunities and trust placed in her, showing that talent shines beyond conventional standards.
