SHAH ALAM — A Malaysian and her friends trapped in Hat Yai, Thailand, were forced to wade through waist-high floodwaters for about six kilometres to buy food. The ordeal was shared in a TikTok video by user @watie_yaacob on Nov 23, which has been viewed over 2.1 million times. She described nonstop rain and worsening water levels outside their hotel.
