KUALA LUMPUR — Dewan Rakyat proceedings were disrupted today when Pendang MP Datuk Awang Hashim and Hulu Langat MP Mohd Sany Hamzan were ordered out for 30 minutes after a heated argument. The exchange erupted during the committee-stage debate on the Budget 2026 allocation for the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry, interrupting Pulai MP Suhaizan Kaiat’s speech.

Deputy Speaker Alice Lau instructed both MPs to leave after they ignored repeated warnings to stop their confrontation. The clash began when Mohd Sany accused some MPs of spreading false claims, prompting Awang to respond sharply, triggering several minutes of chaos.
