Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin will give his statement to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission tomorrow over alleged bribery links to businessman Albert Tei. MACC chief Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed Shamsul’s summons, adding that two other witnesses, including a woman named Sofia from a controversial video clip, have already been called.

Tei is expected to appear on December 1. Azam said investigators have been instructed to complete the probe within two weeks. Shamsul resigned as senior political secretary to the prime minister following criticism over a support letter issue tied to a hospital project.
