The National Registration Department (JPN) has announced free replacement services for flood victims whose identification documents were lost or damaged. Key documents such as MyKad, birth, death, marriage, and citizenship certificates can be reissued at no cost.

To ease access, JPN is deploying mobile units — buses, vans, and MEKAR 4WD vehicles — directly to affected areas once routes are safe. These teams will help with replacements, record verification, and guidance for multiple lost documents.

The initiative ensures families in shelters or cut-off areas can still access vital paperwork needed for aid, schooling, and insurance, without traveling or queuing.
