Sabah’s election delivered major losses for PKR and DAP while GRS and Warisan were positioned to shape a new coalition. Anwar’s PH thrashed!
PKR was reduced to a single seat after being expected to win two, and losses in 12 of its 13 contests were recorded. With no bloc securing a majority, coalition talks were expected between the election’s two largest winners.
Anwar coalition wiped out
A claim was issued by PKR that its numbers with GRS were sufficient to form a government, though support from Star, Upko, KDM, and independents remained uncertain. Upko was reported to have secured Kadamaian, Moyog, and Tamparuli. A complete wipeout of DAP in all 8 seats was declared, while Warisan took most of the seats from DAP.
