In the wake of Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) crushing defeat in the 2025 Sabah state election, where the coalition scraped just one seat despite contesting 22, internal dissent is brewing within PKR. Sabah-based party stalwart Iswardy Morni has fired a pointed critique at Timbalan Presiden Nurul Izzah Anwar, daughter of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, accusing her of failing to address critical support erosion.
panglima perang
Quoting Rafizi Ramli’s pre-election warning, Iswardy highlighted Nurul Izzah’s obligation to fix declining non-Malay backing and stagnant Malay support. “Kalau Nurul mahu jadi timbalan presiden dan nak menang pilihanraya, dia wajib mencari penyelesaian kepada masalah ini,” Rafizi had urged during the campaign. Yet, with DAP wiped out—losing all eight seats amid a dramatic swing of Chinese votes to Warisan—and PKR reduced to a single victory, Iswardy sees the results as a damning verdict.
“Kekalahan bukan kerana Panglima perang?” he wrote, slamming denial as arrogance. Six months on, with no solutions in sight, Iswardy warns of more finger-pointing ahead, urging real fixes over excuses.
