Pemuda Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan) reaffirmed its stance against BN joining the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government led by Hajiji Noor. They stressed that GRS already commands a stable majority with 29 seats, plus support from independents, Upko, PH, KDM, and Star, alongside six appointed assembly members.

Gagasan argued that voters had rejected BN, and any attempt to include them would undermine the people’s mandate. They cited BN’s past political maneuvers in 2023 as a warning. Meanwhile, Pemuda Umno suggested BN Sabah should serve as opposition with Warisan and PN, acting as a check-and-balance to GRS.
