Social media users are in agreement with HR Minister Steven Lim with his recent statement that employers are reminded not to pay their fresh grad workers minimum wage. Additionally, he says it’s not a reasonable benchmark for fresh graduates.

Others say that leave days are also important, as some companies may not provide enough annual leaves to their staff. Furthermore, some bosses may make their staff work longer working hours without any overtime pay. 

Some complain that a lot of companies are not earning enough to pay their fresh grads enough. This could be due to the slight slowdown in business around the world.
