A grassroots revolt from Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) and Upko started with the chief minister’s decision to bring Barisan Nasional (BN) into the new Sabah government. They said voters had already given a mandate for local parties to lead and warned that BN’s inclusion could revive instability linked to earlier political tensions.
