Sabah DAP has announced it will not accept any positions in the state government following its defeat in the 17th Sabah state election. Secretary-general Anthony Loke said the decision was made during an emergency Central Executive Committee meeting after the party failed to win any of the eight seats it contested, including six previously held constituencies.

Loke acknowledged the results as a clear signal of voter dissatisfaction with DAP and Pakatan Harapan, calling it a crisis of confidence. He stressed that Sabah DAP leaders will continue serving the people and will work with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to accelerate reforms.
