KUALA LUMPUR: Three relatives aged 24–56 were arrested for assaulting and threatening a 22-year-old man in Kampung Cheras Baru last Saturday. The victim suffered a fractured nose after being punched and whipped with a PVC pipe by his girlfriend’s brothers, while her uncle threatened to kill him if he continued the relationship.

Police detained the suspects hours later and seized the pipe. One brother has a criminal record. They are remanded until Wednesday under Section 325 of the Penal Code. Separately, four men, including three foreigners, were arrested for a Nov 14 road-bullying attack on a Pakistani national in Bukit Ampang.
