Rompin couple feared drowned after Myvi plunges into river

ROMPIN: A husband and wife are feared drowned after their Perodua Myvi veered off the road and plunged into Sungai Rompin near Kampung Rantau Panjang around 5pm today.

Rompin District Police Chief Superintendent Sharif Shai Sharif Mondoi said initial investigations are ongoing and the vehicle has yet to be located. Strong river currents are hampering search efforts. Fire and rescue personnel, together with police, are actively searching for the car and the couple.
