A secondary school teacher in Kedah has been accused of inappropriate behavior toward a 17-year-old student, prompting a police report in October. The student alleged the teacher used sexual remarks in class and once asked her to button his shirt before shifting to political talk.

After reporting the matter to other teachers and the headmaster, she was warned not to escalate it further. The teacher was later transferred, but three whistleblower teachers were also moved without explanation. On October 21, the student lodged a formal police complaint, hoping the State Education Department would investigate thoroughly and ensure accountability.
