Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim confirmed today he will soon announce appointments to fill four vacant Cabinet posts in the Madani Government. Speaking after Friday prayers in Cyberjaya, Anwar stressed that while the final decision and royal consent are his prerogative, he will consult leaders of all coalition parties as part of the democratic process.

He clarified it will not be a major reshuffle, only filling vacancies in the Economy, Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, and Investment, Trade and Industry ministries. With roughly 18 months left in the current term, Anwar said sweeping changes are unnecessary.
