Sabah BN chairman and Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin has died at the age of 66 at Gleneagles Hospital in Kota Kinabalu. His son, Naim Kurniawan, confirmed the news, saying Bung Moktar passed away at 1.46 a.m. on 5 December 2026.

He had been admitted a day earlier due to complications involving his lungs, heart, and kidneys. Bung Moktar recently defended the Lamag state seat in the 17th Sabah state election and had served as Kinabatangan MP for six terms since 1999.
He leaves behind two wives and seven children. His passing comes as his corruption trial involving Felcra investments remains ongoing.
